Mr. Mori graduated from Amherst College in 1950 with a degree in Finance. After his graduation, Mr. Mori enlisted in the United States Navy, where he served during the Korean conflict as a gunnery officer on the battleship O’Brien. Mr. Mori achieved the rank of Lieutenant upon his honorable discharge from active duty, earning three battle stars. After serving his country, Mr. Mori began a long triumphant career in the real estate development field in 1951. In addition, Mr. Mori has served as the President of The Hialeah Racetrack, Florida, for sixteen (16) years. He has also served as President and executive for many other organizations throughout his long career. In December 2019, the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey recognized Mr. Mori for his long list of achievements as a steward of the environment and the contributions that his businesses made to the residents of the State of New Jersey. Mr. Mori, along with his father, was responsible for bringing the horse racing industry to the State of New Jersey with the founding of the Garden State Racetrack in Cherry Hill.
